I am Frans Luit and throughout my life I have had interest in photography and video. I am using my website to post some of my captured footage. I am certainly not a professional, but just a hobbyist that enjoys the aspects of editing video and making it attractive to watch with the help of some great audio.

Back in the seventies I loved to work with Super 8mm film. For those who remember, it was extremely costly to put a movie together. Each cartridge of film of 3.5 minutes costed about $11 CAD. I used to have special Super 8 Editing equipment to be able to view the film and make decisions around cutting out pieces, add transitions and glue things back together again for the best results. I didn’t use sound back in those days.

Having moved over the world, I have lost all of my Super 8 equipment and reels. Not that I ever had the intention to do more of that type of work, but it is a bit of a shame that I will never be able to recover the 8mm footage that I put together so diligently.

After concluding my careers, I have now found the time to pick things up again, but obviously in a much more modern way using the computer to edit footage with the ability to introduce transitions, special effects, titles and yes, even sound.

Enjoy watching my photographs and videos!!

Not everything I post on my blog is directly related to video/photo work that I have created. At times I will use footage provided by others, in which I might be on the other side of the lens. I would like to acknowledge those who have shared videos/photographs that I published on this website.
